Shazam! I Can't Believe It Was That Easy!

My computer has been acting crazy for quite a while, but it just darn near crashed on me this week.  I don't like to feel so trapped by something.  It drove me crazy when I couldn't get on the internet.  I can't imagine what I did before I had a home computer.

Well, I think before I actually watched the news instead of seeing the headlines on yahoo or msn.  I also picked up the phone and called somebody before just sending them a message on email or facebook.  For somebody who doesn't understand technology at all, I sure am dependent on it!

I knew I had to fix my computer, but I don't like people coming into my home to fix it and I don't like surrendering it over to strangers either.  I knew I could buy some things to download, but I am not real sure how to use them.  I went to Office Max about 3 weeks ago to see if there was something I in my limited computer knowledge could use.  They sold me a PC Protection Web-Based Service.  I have had it and finally used it today when I realized my computer was almost dead.

It is the neatest thing!  I put the disc in, went on their website (getting onto the internet was the hardest part since my computer was not working hardly at all) and called the number on the box.  I gave the guy my code from the box and he had me do a couple of simple things on the computer and then I hung up and let him work on my computer from.......well, I don't really know where, but it wasn't here.

It was kind of strange seeing the arrow move around and knowing somebody was working on my computer, but I didn't know who or where they were.  It worked great though!  It seems to be back to normal and everything is fine.  The program cost $150, but it is good for a year.  If I have any more problems, I just call the number and they will fix it again for me.  I am telling you all of this because it is rare that something that seems so easy and convenient actually turns out to be easy and convenient!

Now the hard part for me will be keeping up with the box, receipt, and code for the next year in case I need it again!
