My Mom's Birthday

I want to wish my mom a very Happy Birthday!  (It is tomorrow, the 10th.) She has spent most of her life taking care of her kids.  Now, she dedicates all of her time helping with her ELEVEN grandchildren.  (Ok, she still takes care of her three kids too!)  She is everything a mom is supposed to be.  We all love her very much and would be absolutely lost without her!  We are all so blessed that God let us be her children and grandchildren.

I will now embarrass her a little bit with pictures.  (Maybe the above will keep me out of trouble a little while!)

This is my Nana and Papa with mom.

I love this picture.  My brother's little girl, Ella, looks like my mom and you can really see it in this picture.  The back of the picture says she was in 3rd grade.

My mom and my uncle, Jimmy.

I also want to say Happy Birthday to my brother in law, Harrison.  He shares his birthday with my mom.  I couldn't have asked for a better brother in law to me, husband to my sister, or father to my nieces and nephews.  He also goes beyond being an uncle for my kids.  He steps in whenever he sees a need to for them.  I love you, Harrydog!  (That's what my boys call him!)

By the way, the baby here is their 3rd child, Macalister.  I used this picture because I love it of both of them, but 3 years and 2 more kids later (yes 5 total) they still look like they did then.  More kids seem to agree with them!

Thank you so much! I wouldn't know what to do without her.

That's nice that they share a birthday. My aunt and my nephew share a birthday - great excuse for a double party!

I think it makes it much more special when you share a birthday with a relative. And you are right, any time we can have a double party is great!
