Saturday Morning and Football

This long weekend arrived just in time!  We have had a lot going on.  We have also had a lot of loss in our community.  In just the past few weeks, some of my dear friends have lost parents, we have lost young kids, and we have a lot of families hurting right now.  I just pray that God sends them the comfort they need.  We all know we will see each other again one day, but it is still so hard to lose someone you love.

We have a long weekend and we need it!  We start it off with Saturday football.  My older son had his first high school football game Thursday (he is a freshman) and my younger son has his game today.  They are both taller than me (which is great because I am only 5'3 1/2"......and I fight for that 1/2) but I don't realize how big they have gotten until I see them all dressed out with pads on.  They are getting too big too fast!  My daughter is trying to enjoy every minute of her senior year while I am trying to hold on to every minute of her senior year!  I am hoping to have a restful, but fun weekend with them.  We have had a lot going on and some stressful situations so we are in real need of an easy weekend.  Although....... high school football doesn't let you rest!  My freshman has practice bright and early Monday morning.  That is okay though, to be honest, he wouldn't have it any other way!  He is tougher on himself than the coaches!

I hope all of you have a safe, restful weekend.  Enjoy being with your families and loved ones.  We have learned this week you can't take any moment for granted.

You know I love music.  I woke up with this song in my head because I heard it almost every time I got in the car yesterday on every station, but it is a good song so I thought I would get it stuck in your head too!

Have a blessed, safe weekend!

I am jealous of everybody that got to see Maroon 5 and Train while they were in Atlanta this week.
Hmmmmmm...............wonder if either of them are still around?
